Job Details for Machinist:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am to 2:30pm
  • Pay Rate: $18 to $24/hr depending on experience
  • Contract to Hire

Job Responsibilities & Description for Machinist:

  • Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and venire calipers.
  • Using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
  • Repair and clean machinery as needed
  • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements for Machinist:

  • Must have long term Machine Operating experience
  • Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
  • Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.).
  • Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
  • Good at math with analytical abilities.
  • Occasionally lifting-up to 50 pounds and standing for up to 12 hours a day is something you can handle.
