Job Details for Legal Assistant Position:

  • Schedule: 8:30AM-5:00PM M-F
  • Pay Rate: $19hr
  • Contract-Hire

Job Responsibilities & Description for Legal Assistant Position:

  • Contact clients to schedule meetings with attorney and maintain attorney's calendar
  • Provide documentation production services in accordance with requirements of the the assigned attorney
  • Proofread documents produced, checking for appropriate formatting, spelling, and grammatical errors
  • Performs routine filing and retrieves closed files when requested

Job Requirements for Legal Assistant Position:

  • 5 years of legal experience strongly preferred
  • Experience as an assistant in a law firm or corporate legal environment
  • Ability to perform complex secretarial and clerical duties that require knowledge of legal terminology and legal process
  • Proficient in the use of word processing and other automated equipment, including transcription equipment and software packages currently being used by the firm
  • Strong skills in MS Word, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and good organizational skills
