Schedule: Monday through Friday - 7AM to 5PM

Pay Rate: $ 20 + per hour

Medical Coding Specialist Responsibilities & Description:

  • Provides evidence-based provider documentation/coding reviews
  • Performs surgical coding for designated THMG providers per established coding guidelines
  • Follows all ICD-10-CM, CPT, E/M coding guidelines to ensure compliance for accurate charge capture, reimbursement, internal and external data reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Ensures established coding quality, productivity and process goals are met

Medical Coding Specialist Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Certification and Licensure Requirements - CCS or CPC
  • Healthcare Coding Certificate: AHIMA, AHIMA, AAPC or other credentialed program
  • Experience with EHR, preferably Epic system, CD-10 and computerized coding systems

*Associate degree preferred - Health Information Management or healthcare related degree
