Job Description

PeopleShare is seeking qualified candidates for a Collections Specialist for a financial institution in Hightstown, NJ! This is an excellent long term opportunity with an established and respected company.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Pay Rate: $35-55k based on experience
  • Temp to hire or direct hire opportunity

Collections Job Responsibilities & Description:

  • Research and review delinquent accounts; reach out to individuals to establish a payment plan
  • Update activity records on loan status, negative shares and at risk loans
  • Process payments and transfer funds
  • Review financial reports from third parties and produce new reports as requested by management
  • Recommend modifications/extensions and work with internal employees on techniques and tools to minimize delinquency

Collections Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in collections for a financial institution / bank
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to pick up on new computer programs quickly (LexisNexis preferred)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), documentation and follow-up skills
  • Ability to remain organized, work under deadlines, and handle sensitive information
