PeopleShare is seeking a Purchasing Manager for a reputable company in the local area. This opportunity is direct hire and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 annually based upon experience

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for effectively guiding the purchasing process and leading a team. Key job responsibilities include:

  • Procurement of raw materials for the facility, ensure they are received on time and of good quality
  • Manage budgets and negotiations with suppliers
  • Evaluate suppliers for quality, cost and effectiveness of delivery, identify any areas for improvement
  • Lead, train and mentor several direct reports within the purchasing department
  • Complete all necessary reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements for the Purchasing Manager:

  • 5-10 years of purchasing experience, must have current managerial experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management or Engineering
  • Experience with procurement of metal products
  • Prior experience and knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety regulations
  • Proven budgeting and cost containment skills
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to develop relationships with internal team members and suppliers
