Details for the Production Manager:

  • Schedule: Full Time! 1st shift: M-F, 7am - 5pm
  • Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 per year (based on experience and tenure)
  • Permanent position - Direct Hire

Job Responsibilities & Description for the Production Manager:

  • Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations
  • Knowledge of UPS/FedEx delivery software
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, kitting, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
  • Stand-up forklift operation
  • Develops and/or revises standard operating procedures and standard work instructions
  • Meets/exceeds plant productivity, cost, and safety metric expectations
  • Perform inventory and cycle counts
  • Supports comprehensive safety initiatives
  • Supports quality initiatives to ensure product meets/exceeds customer expectations
  • Works with site HR Manager to address employee concerns and issues
  • Provides direction, training, development, coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed to a team of direct reports

Job Requirements for the Production Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be comfortable working with computers and data management systems
  • Must be able to operate Stand-Up Forklift
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of improving safety, quality, efficiency, and production rates
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Candidates must be willing to submit to a Pre-Employment Screening, including Drug & Background Check
